Your 6 pack will consist of 1 bottle of each wine:
2015 Yalumba – Tri Centenary Grenache, Barossa Valley, SA
We are lucky enough to still have some of the oldest vines in the world, thanks to phylloxera wiping out 90% of Europes wine regions a centuary ago. Yalumba fruit comes from 130-year-old Barossa bush vines. Light in colour, but with lots of flavour. Think red cherries, red raspberries and seductively silky texture.
2018 JC’s Own – Rock it GSM, Barossa Valley, SA
One of the new kids on bloke, JC’s Own Rock it is a classical field blend with Grenache, Cinsaut, Shiraz and Mataro. This wine is juicier and richer, but still medium bodied. We taste more dark berries, dark cherries with spice and a touch of white pepper.
2017 Noon – Eclipse Grenache Blend, McLaren Vale, SA
Noon Winery is famous for rich and boldy reds, and again we won’t be dissappointed. This cuvee is 90% Grenache, 6% Shiraz and 4% Graciano, which is powerful and should be decanted to shine. Don’t be scared of the 15,5% alcohol, it just pushes the length on the palate.
2017 Chateau Mont-Redon – Lirac GSM, Rhone Valley, France
Lirac is a gorgeous little wine appelation just west of the famous Chateauneuf du Pape. We have almost the same varietals, similar soil and climate, but no fame. Just imagine, it’s like drinking baby Chateauneuf du Pape- Rich black raspberries and liqourice scents followed by black pepper, earth and subtle graphite and spiced dried meats. slighty chewy, ripe tannins with a long flavourome finish. Enough Said
2018 Maxime-Francois Laurent – La Rubiconde Grenache, Rhone Valley, France
Glorious Grenache from the Southern Rhone. Maxime-Francois Laurent is the face behind the notorious Gramenon Winery. It’s super pretty and floral, the epitome of elegance. Low amount of oak, it’s all about the red fruits and freshness.
2015 Olivere Riviere – Ganko, Rioja, Spain
Bordeaux-born Riviere found his passion making wine in Rioja, Spain. Creating super interesting reds, this Grenache needed time to settle. Lots of peppery plum and wild berry flavours with cheek-grabbing tannins and lasting toastiness. Please decant/aerate the wine.
