Your Chenin Blanc pack from these fantastic producers will consist of one bottle of each of the following wines:
2018 Thibaud Boudignon – Anjou, Loire Valley
This wine is all about mid-palate weight, the fruit is destemmed and matured in 30% new oak. It creates a crystalline, pure and complex Chenin which needs some time to open in a glass. Great with seafood, pork or chicken
2019 Domaine Guibertau – Saumur, Loire Valley
Domaine Guiberteau is located in heart of Saumur This Chenin is mineral-driven, bone dry and undeniable refreshing. This wine will shine with oysters, scallops or any frankly any seafood.
2019 Arnaud Lambert – Clos de Midi- Saumur, Loire Valley
Saumur, again- you bet! The wine has a touch of residual sugar and is all about ripe yellow and golden stonefruits like peaches and nectarines. Drink this wine anywhere and enjoy with or without food.
2019 Marc Bredif – Classic- Vouvray, Loire Valley
Marc Bredif produces Chenin that displays radically different characteristics , bone dry to super sweet, youthful to age worthy gems. The Classic is dry, and all about white flowers and quince on nose, on the palate more citrus and honeyed characters. Enjoy with most seafood or chicken and doesn’t shy away from some spice.
2019 Rusden – Christian – Barossa Valley
Rusden Chenin is produced in the heart of the Barossa. It is a full bodied wine, with a high viscosity level. All about ripe peaches, nectarines and yellow quince. On the back palate some baking spices of ginger, vanilla and glove.
2019 Millton – Te Arai – Gisborne, NZ
Millton has a special spot in our hearts, James started to produce bio-dynamic wines 35 years ago when the world was still asleep and never heard of these practices before. For many sommeliers this is a great expression and entry into the world of Chenin. Rich, full flavoured and never shy of a touch residual sugar. A “transitional” wine for lovers of Pinot Gris.
