For many Pinot lovers this is arguably the best Kiwi producer, Bell Hill is known for making tiny quantities of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in the hills of North Canterbury. The average production is around 2800 bottles of each varietal, so if you have a chance to enjoy a bottle please do.
On the nose very delicate cherry and violet characters. The palate continues that theme with added chalky mineral and dried herbs. This wine showing extraordinary power- deliciously approachable now but with obvious cellaring potential.
